Story


The A112 is a car produced by Autobianchi from 1969 to 1986.
In the second goals of the sixties Fiat was faced with the alarming penetration of the Italian market for the Mini that after circumvented the obstacle of customs duties with the construction of the car at the premises of the Innocents, was receiving considerable sales success among young and, especially, between the female users.

Therefore Giacosa decided to propose, through its subsidiary Autobianchi, a small car, which looks elegant and equipped with modern front wheel drive.

The Autobianchi A112 was introduced at the 1969 Turin Motor Show , getting enthusiastic, particularly among the categories of users to which it was addressed.

The sales success was immediate and consistent so that, despite the continuous expansion of assembly lines for a few years, production could not meet a demand substantial and growing, forcing would-be owners of the new model grueling expectations that in many cases exceeded twelve months.

In addition to the pleasant and the brilliance of performance, even the low cost of purchasing and operating costs contributed to making it one of the cars more but widely used and appreciated by people of every age group. In his long career the A112 underwent many improvements and redesign, which gave rise to well Eight series .
