In the front, in their size and mechanical arrangement prefigures the Fiat 'X1 / 9 ', of which testing the arrangement of the central motor-cross. Of the car, marked Autobianchi, the muzzle and perhaps the most feature, together with the elusive body in fiberglass. Bertone won his battle with Fiat to launch , based on the 'Runabout', the project of 'X1 / 9' serial. It took almost three years to the definition of the final model but in the end the 'Runabout', with a new name, by in production. It's not often that a dream car has a following.

Autobianchi A112 'Giovani'

TheAutobianchi A112 Giovani is a prototype - a concept car developed by Pininfarina in a single copy, in 1973, of mechanics A112 . In designing this special aimed at a young clientele, Pininfarina set itself the goal to create a car with attractive, with good performance and use mostly playful, but also with construction costs and very low running.
As a starting point, the chassis was chosen dellAutobianchi A112, a reliable car and built in large series, economic and small-displacement, is particularly popular with young customers, especially in its Abarth version. The result was a spider with removable hardtop two-seater, with square lines, in the middle between a rally car and a spiaggina.

The body appears visually consists of two overlapping shells, where the lower and 'more' off the top. This difference creates an overhang sections running around the entire vehicle on the belt line, with the exception of the front, allowing you to host a robust protective structure around the passenger compartment. The front and characterized by the grille recessed projectors and decentralized air intake for the radiator, Autobianchi shaped logo.
The back-type, short tail, and formed by a roll-bar of generous section that borders a large rear window defroster. The interior design to meet the intentions of the car, are extremely essential, including the austere and elegant seats in iron and plastic. Plastic also the dashboard, interior trim, bumpers and removable roof. Every detail was designed to reduce the weight and cost of construction, avoiding the allocations not strictly necessary and recovering all the components possible by mass production. Among the injuries more obvious, that of the rear hatch for access to even large trunk, placed behind the seats. The headlights, wheels, instrumentation, steering wheel, wipers, door handles and window are the same as 'A112' serial.
The prototype was already studying for immediate industrialization, but despite the appreciation shown by the public and the press, the 'A112 Giovani' not reached the production stage.
